FROM VILNIUS TO KAYSERI (PART ONE)

Hello, I am Anatolij from Vilnius Lithuania and I am 30 years old. One day I found the opportunity to have EVS (European Voluntary Service) in Kayseri Turkey in International Youth Activities Center Association (IYACA). One of my Lithuanian friends posted it in Facebook and I decided not to miss this chance. Moreover, it was my last opportunity to do EVS, because in one month I used to become 31 year old. When my candidacy was accepted I started to organize my trip from Vilnius to far Kayseri city. I bought flight tickets and my route was with 2 stops: one in Kiev Ukraine and another in Istanbul Turkey, so in total 3 flights. But I can say that every flight was with an adventure… 😄

My first flight was from Vilnius to Kiev on Friday, February 3rd. I got up early in the morning, took the bus and came to the airport 2 hours before my flight (Photo Nr.1). In the airport also all procedures were as usually: check-in on the check-in desk, after that security check, nothing special.

I was waiting for my flight near the gate A8/2 and on the information board appeared the notice, that my flight was delayed. It was first surprise for me, but not the last 😃 My flight to Kiev was estimated to be one hour later, I didn’t know the reason, but was really calm about it. I was sitting near the gates when noticed one very tall person going to the toilet. It was famous basketball player Grigorij Khizhnyak. I knew him from the past. Grigorij used to play in Lithuanian basketball club Kaunas Zalgiris for 2 years from 2000-2002. During these years Zalgiris played in the strongest basketball league in Europe named Euroleague and Grigorij was the king of blocks in this league and one of the Zalgiris team leaders.

I waited for Grigorij to make the picture together and these 15 minutes of waiting was like an hour for me. Finally, I got a chance to fulfill my dream. I asked if I can have a picture with him, and he agreed. I was travelling alone, so I asked first seen person to make a photo with my telephone. After that, he shaked my hand and said: “Thank You” in Lithuanian. I was a little bit surprised, but thanked him back. Also I asked Grigorij if he is not against my intension to post the photo in Facebook. He said: “No problem.” I immediately posted the photo on my Facebook account (Photo Nr 2). I was so full of positive emotions inside and thought, that nothing interesting can happen more. But I was wrong.

When finally the gates opened and boarding procedure started, we were leaded to the bus to take us to the plane to Kiev. But something interesting happened in the bus. I was sitting near the window when noticed, that one more well-known person for me entered the bus and stopped very close. It was Oleg Gennadievich Torsunov – Ayurvedic doctor, specialist in psychology and family relations, Vedic lecturer, but also a man who changed the fates and characters of many readers and his followers. I also listen to his lectures and can say that Oleg Gennadievich is a person, who changed my life too and mostly because of his lectures I became vegetarian.

I was too shy to talk with Oleg Gennadievich in the bus, not speaking about asking him to make a photo together… 😃 I only made a photo of the plane and Oleg Gennadievich also present in this photo (Photo Nr. 3). Finally, when we met in the plane, I took all my bravery, went to him, thanked Oleg Gennadievich for his lectures and shaked his hand. After that I thought I will explode immediately because of enormous amount of positive energy and feelings inside me. The plane took off, my trip started and I left snowy and cloudy Vilnius (Photo Nr. 4). When our plane reached the highest point, the sun appeared and I started to feel the warm of it and the taste of future adventure (photo Nr. 5). So, my first flight finished in a very positive mood 😄💗
